The electromechanical sector is standing up for jobs, competitiveness, and “Made in Europe.” In Aragón, ESTAMODE is joining the European mobilization.
Zaragoza, April 27, 2026 — On April 28, European industry will experience an unprecedented day of mobilization, with a symbolic work stoppage led by the Electromechanics Synergy Network (ESN), which brings together companies across the entire industrial value chain.
In Aragon, ESTAMODE—linked to strategic sectors such as the automotive industry, industrial components, and energy—will participate in this initiative to draw attention to the decline in European industrial competitiveness and its direct consequences for employment.
The sector denounces a critical situation marked by unfair competition from non-EU products, which enter Europe at prices up to 40% lower, and by a lack of regulatory protection that leaves European manufacturers and suppliers vulnerable.
“What is at stake is not just the operations of a few companies, but the future of European industry and thousands of skilled jobs,” notes Jorge Beschinsky, CEO of the ESTAMODE Group.
The value chain for electric motors and generators—key to sectors such as renewable energy, electric vehicles, and defense—is considered a strategic pillar of European industrial autonomy, which is currently at risk.
Through this mobilization, the sector is calling on European and national institutions to establish fairer competition rules; provide protection for the entire industrial value chain; and implement measures that prioritize European production.
Organizers warn that, without urgent changes, Europe could become dependent on third countries for key technologies—a situation that has already occurred in other sectors that have suffered—and continue to suffer—the consequences of such dependency and offshoring, such as the textile sector.
The day of April 28 will include coordinated actions across Europe, with the aim of highlighting the unity of the industrial sector and sending a clear message to the institutions.
