Yesterday, September 15, ESTAMODE celebrated its 80th anniversary with an official ceremony at its plant in Zaragoza, an event that served to highlight eight decades of industrial history in Aragón and reaffirm the company’s commitment to the future of European manufacturing.
The event brought together representatives from Aragon’s institutional, business, and technology sectors, who were able to get an up-close look at ESTAMODE’s facilities, its production process, and the new welding station—an investment aimed at incorporating technology, expanding industrial capacity, and continuing to make progress in process improvement.
A tribute to the people who have built ESTAMODE
During the event, Jorge Beschinsky, CEO of ESTAMODE Group, highlighted the role of everyone who has been part of the company throughout its history.
“A company doesn’t reach its 80th anniversary solely because of its shareholders, its executives, its buildings, or its machinery. Companies celebrate their anniversaries because of the people,” he noted during his speech.
The anniversary thus served to recognize the work, commitment, and accumulated knowledge of several generations of professionals who have contributed to ESTAMODE’s evolution and its adaptation to the various industrial challenges of each era.
Aragón as a launching point for a new international phase
The 80th anniversary comes at a particularly significant time for the company. The recent acquisition of the Italian firm STEMA TECH strengthens the group’s international presence, adds new capabilities, and ushers in a new phase of growth within the European context.
“It’s not just about growing in size, but about building a stronger, more technologically advanced, more international company that is better prepared to support our customers’ development,” explained Beschinsky.
This growth remains rooted in Aragón, the region from which ESTAMODE has conducted its industrial operations for eight decades. The company is a member of the Aragón Automotive and Mobility Cluster (CAAR) and collaborates with technology and research centers as part of a strategy based on cooperation, knowledge, and applied innovation.
Competitiveness, European industry, and balanced rules
The institutional event also provided an opportunity to address one of the sector’s major current challenges: maintaining a solid, competitive manufacturing base in Europe that is capable of responding to technological, energy, and market challenges.
In this regard, ESTAMODE emphasized the need to preserve European industrial capacity in a context marked by bureaucracy, overregulation, and differences in competitive conditions compared to products manufactured outside Europe under different social, environmental, energy, and regulatory requirements.
“Celebrating an anniversary is important. Having a future is even more so. And we cannot talk about ESTAMODE’s future without talking about the future of European industry,” stated Beschinsky.
In this vein, ESTAMODE is partnering with the Electromechanics Synergy Network (ESN) to advocate for balanced competition rules that will allow Europe to retain its steel processing industry—and, with it, jobs, knowledge, technology, investment, and industrial autonomy.
“We’re not asking anyone to guarantee our future. We know we have to earn it ourselves. We’re asking that they not prevent us from competing for it,” summarized the CEO of ESTAMODE Group.
80 Years of history and a new chapter ahead
ESTAMODE is embarking on this new chapter with the goal of continuing to invest, adopt technology, develop new products, and support its customers in meeting their own industrial, technological, and market challenges.
The official 80th-anniversary event was, therefore, much more than a celebration. It was a look back at the journey since 1946, but also a statement about the future: to continue growing from Aragón, strengthen the group’s international presence, and contribute to a more robust, competitive, and well-prepared European industry.
As Jorge Beschinsky concluded in his remarks: “Today we celebrate 80 years. Tomorrow we begin working to earn the next twenty.”
